Corporate Social Responsibility

The Ezra Group is committed to supporting local communities and social organizations through an annual corporate giving program called, The Ezra Cares Charity.

Every year the Group makes several financial contributions to support worthy causes and vulnerable segments of the population in South Sudan. Driving positive social changes is at the heart of the Ezra Group business practices and our charitable works are another way we’re impacting communities and providing help where it is most needed.

The Ezra Group accepts proposals and requests for help throughout the year.

The Ezra Group also runs a much-needed internship and skills development training programme at the Ezra Power Plant in Kondokoro, outside Juba.

The project’s main aim is to create gainful employment for both skilled and semiskilled people through knowledge transfer. This programme also helps generate meaningful jobs with higher salaries at the corporate level and enhance the nation’s productivity through skills development.

Every year the company hosts a group of students for between one to three months. Students have a chance to put the theory they’ve learnt into practice. At the end of the programme, the students will receive a certificate, a letter of recommendation based on their performance and a possible job offer depending on vacancies.
